Scott Creasman handles intellectual property and technology litigation, and business matters involving patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade dress, trade secrets, and false advertising. His practice also includes trademark and copyright prosecution matters. In addition, he has experience with Internet issues, including domain name rights and UDRP proceedings, privacy, information security and other e-commerce matters. His practice also involves counseling clients on a variety of strategic issues involving intellectual property and technology matters. Mr. Creasman has handled jury and bench trials in federal and state courts and the International Trade Commission, as well as numerous matters through alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, including various forms of mediation and arbitration. His practice also focuses on cyber-security privacy issues, and he is involved in information security-focused industry groups within the technology sector. Mr. Creasman has written about intellectual property, technology and security issues in numerous publications and has been interviewed by a variety of media outlets, including CNBC, The Washington Post, The Toronto Star, The Wall Street Journal, The ABA Journal, Bloomberg News, The Atlanta Business Chronicle, and Business Insurance Magazine.
Mr. Creasman has represented the world governing body for soccer, an international multimedia producer and broadcaster, two major league baseball franchises, multinational pharmaceutical companies, consumer product manufacturers, a publicly traded hotel developer, two of the largest U.S. banks, information security and compliance software and consulting companies, numerous major computer hardware and software companies, software as a service providers, numerous restaurant/hospitality companies, several textile manufacturers, a multi-national information resources provider, a database and e-commerce service provider, an international market leader in materials handling systems, and two of the largest petro-chemical companies in the world.
Mr. Creasman is an adjunct instructor on "Legal Issues in Technology Transfer" at the Georgia Institute of Technology, School of Management. He is a frequent speaker at industry events and seminars sponsored by numerous entities, including the ABA Section of Intellectual Property Law, the State Bar of Georgia Intellectual Property Section, the National Business Institute, Law Seminars International, Institute of Continuing Legal Education in Georgia, and Lorman Educational Services.
