Joe English is a partner in the firm’s labor and employment group. Prior to joining Taylor-Busch, Mr. English practiced law for nearly 15 years with Fisher & Phillips LLP, a well-respected national labor and employment law firm.
Mr. English has several years of experience representing Employment Practices Liability Insurance (“EPLI”) carriers on a national and regional level, coordinating the defense of insured employment-related claims for employers in a cost-effective and efficient manner. Mr. English is a frequent speaker on topics related to EPLI and employment law, and has conducted training for underwriters and claims professionals on employment-related legal issues.
Mr. English also regularly defends employers in employment litigation and arbitration at the trial and appellate levels, appearing in federal and state courts throughout the country. Mr. English’s litigation practice has included complex class action litigation, ERISA, wage and hour litigation, and the spectrum of employment discrimination claims. In addition, Mr. English provides counseling services to employers on general employment-related matters, including risk management and preventative practices. Mr. English has achieved an “AV” peer review rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest possible rating awarded.
