E J Asbury III is a registered patent attorney practicing Intellectual Property law with Taylor Busch, LLP in Atlanta.  His experience includes patent, trademark, and copyright prosecution, litigation and Intellectual Property due diligence analysis.  For 6 years, E J has handled a wide range of patent and trademark matters for both companies and individuals.  In addition, E J has successfully defended private inventors against a fortune 100 company in inventive rights disputes.

In his engineering career, Mr. Asbury was a product design and development engineer for 10 years prior to attending law school.  His specialties were in machine design and structural and dynamic analysis.  He worked primarily in the Aerospace Defense industry where he solved complex design problems involving electro-mechanical design, packaging and assembly from conceptual layout, detailed design, and electronic packaging to structural, dynamic, thermal analysis and systems engineering. 

Mr. Asbury has served as a product design and analysis consultant to many prominent corporations including Xerox, Honeywell, Lockheed / Martin, Volvo, General Electric Medical and Lighting Divisions, Harley Davidson and NASA.  Mr. Asbury has also been a corporate technical education instructor, for mechanical design and structural analysis (FEA) on CAD systems, and was an engineering course instructor while completing his graduate coursework at Tennessee. 

Prior to joining Taylor-Busch, Mr. Asbury operated his own Intellectual Property practice.
