Bob J. Goldberg is a member of Taylor-Busch and has more than 16 years of legal experience, specializing in a wide range of commercial, corporate and regulatory matters. He has extensive experience in both private practice and as in-house counsel. Mr. Goldberg also has significant operational, administrative, human resource and strategic development experience as a corporate executive and officer.
Most recently, Mr. Goldberg served as Vice President and General Counsel at Harbor Payments, Inc., where he was responsible for all aspects of company’s legal affairs and human resources. He served as the lead negotiator and was primarily responsible for legal and business issues related to numerous mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Goldberg was a member of the executive leadership team and was an active participant in setting strategy and objectives for company. Previously, Mr. Goldberg spent seven years at MCI Telecommunications Corporation, where he was Managing Commercial Counsel supporting the company’s global marketing and product development organizations and a regional sales organization. During his tenure at MCI, Mr. Goldberg also held two business development positions.
In private practice, Mr. Goldberg worked as an associate at Troutman Sanders, LLP in Atlanta, where he represented clients, such as The Southern Company and Airtouch Cellular, in federal and state communications matters. Prior to that, he worked as an associate attorney at Lukas, McGowan, Nace & Gutierrez in Washington, D.C., where he advised and represented a variety of corporate and individual clients in connection with federal and state communications regulatory matters, including acquisitions, compliance, enforcement and licensing concerns.
Mr. Goldberg received a Bachelor of Science in Management from the A. B. Freeman School of Business, Tulane University in 1986. He received his Juris Doctor from Washington College of Law, The American University in 1989. He is a Big Brother with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta and is a past volunteer for the Woodruff Arts Center.
